Overview
The CCM Tacks 310 Helmet features D30 Lite foam pods and a new I.Q.SHION liner that brings elite-level protection at an affordable price.
D30 is an advanced, rate-sensitive foam that has excellent impact absorption properties, which is exactly why CCM placed it at the temples. I.Q.SHION is an open-cell foam that offers a memory gel-like fit and feel. The multi-density VN foam base liner does a great job of dissipating impact energy without sacrificing comfort.

Customer Reviews
Very comfortable and lower profileThe helmet has a very comfortable, cushy liner and sits on your head nicely with no pressure points. The adjustment in the back seems to wrap around the curve of your head rather than just extend the length of the helmet so the fit stays proportional. It's also very light and has higher quality/density foams in critical areas.
One picky item is that the picture shows a grey cage but mine came with black, but it's not a big deal.
Great fitPerfect fit for me. No pinch at all and the liner is soft and seems to contour my head.
Very nice! This is a very nice helmet! I play in a Beer League that requires you to wear a cage. At first, I got the CCM Tacks 210 helmet in a large from Amazon but it was way too loose on me so I decided to go one size down but IW did not have the 210 helmet in a medium so I upgraded to this helmet in black. It has the D30 foam in the temples and fits perfectly with minimal adjustment. I thought the large that I got at first from Amazon would work because I have the CCM FL50 helmet in a large now but I did not have a cage and trying to locate a cage that fits would cost more than the helmet so I upgraded to this. At first, I thought I would need a large because thats the size of the helmet that I currently have and its CCM but the 210 was too loose.
This helmet not only is better padded it is also lighter and fits like a glove. I did not know that the IQshion and the D30 would make that much of a difference but it does. I would recommend someone looking for a decent helmet with a cage to purchase this one because you never know what kind of helmet youre getting with another brand. They may be cheaper but CCM has been out longer than most like True and Warrior so they are probably the best choice right now. Especially since hockey is a rough sport and concussions are common if you dont have the right helmet and protection. I used to only use visors but I have never been hit in the face with a puck but this Beer league Im joining is contact so who knows. I like to keep my teeth where they are. I dont know how this helmet looks on but that doesnt matter much to me because Im used to wearing cheap helmets. Im glad I came back to IW for this helmet.
