While the DigiComp Boot looks and feels like it should cost twice as much, the excellent step-in fit and explosive power it offers is the main story.
Right out of the box, the M3 naturally hugs the natural contour of the foot even before it's baked. After baking with its personalized fit and the extra stiffness, the more skilled players are able to truly unleash the power that rec-level skates just can't provide.
Another key upgrade needed for competitive hockey is the 40oz felt tongue. The extra felt thickness and center foam reinforcement will keep the top of the foot well protected from slashes, blocked shots and any other impact that might occur. Lastly, the Tuuk Edge holder allows players to remove damaged or broken steel in seconds with its quick-release trigger, instead of having to replace the entire skate like lower-level models.
For the ultimate fitting experience that can be done without leaving the house, make sure to first Bake Your Skates at Home and then Check for Proper Skate Fit. If you are still unsatisfied with how they fit and feel, simply use the included pre-paid return label.
