The featherlight Revel IX boot and it's Pro Plus Stiffness package allows for maximum energy transfer through each stride. Alkali even included a padded collar that helps prevent the extra-stiff boot from digging into the ankles.
Below the quarter package, Alkali and Koinxx have teamed up to debut the new Pure-X dual-pour wheel. Pure-X builds on the success of the Pure wheel but is even faster, grippier and more durable than before. Internally, the Helo Quark bearings provide blazing top-end speed and roll for the complete package.
Internally, the Revel 1 boasts a soft, moisture-wicking Clarino liner that helps keep the feet planted all game long. Meanwhile, the top of the foot is well protected by a thick, pro-inspired white felt tongue.

Great fit out of the boxBeen playing roller hockey for 28 years. Nicest skate out of the box I have ever felt. I didn't have time to bake them but I still wanted to give them a try and I'm glad I did. I was skating in the Visium 1 before and they hands down stepped it up on the Revel. I was hesitant to spend that much on the Revel 1 worth it. I don't think I'm going to bake them and I went down two shoe sizes I'm a 12 and I bought and 10. It fits great out of the box. Switched from TourI've worn Tours since 2003. Tour stopped making size 13 US men's shoe 14 with the latest Code line. I searched high and low for used size 13 Tours all over the Internet. With no luck on search results, I decided to take a chance on the Alkali Revel 1's. These are amazing skates, in my opinion much better than the highest-end Tour line.
Super comfortable LAST ONEThese skates are comfortable! I've been wearing Bauer skates for the last 10 years. My last two pairs broke down in less than 2 years and the boot would start creasing, lace bite would get worse and worse (tongues breakdown), and the tops of the boot would dig into the sides of my leg. I tried the 2X pro and the 2X skates and they felt a little lighter than these Revel 1 skates but they just were not comfortable. These Revel 1 skates are comfortable right out of the box. The tongue is thick and soft and after baking them they are snug and comfortable. The Pure X wheels are good wheels too. These skates might be a little heavier than the top-end Bauer skates but they are much more comfortable and half the price.
Been skating with these for three seasons. The boot is holding up well and I love how light they are. They are a comfortable skate no complaints.
