Overview
The Aegis Interceptor-G Goalie Neck Guard offers goalies some of the best impact and cut protection on the market with the introduction of D30 Smart Foam inserts and Kevlar Para-aramid fibers.
D30 is a rate-sensitive smart foam, which means it stays flexible and soft in its natural state, but upon impact, the molecules harden and dissipate the impact energy providing elite-level protection against neck and throat injuries. Aegis segmented the chest D30 Foam inserts into three pieces to give optimal coverage and mobility while being surrounded by Kevlar fibers for cut protection and polyester for comfort.

Comments: Light and should protect against cuts. 3DO does not stay in place inside the pouch and is very thin, like 1/4 inch thin. I don't think it would protect much if a puck hits you. This 3DO does not feel soft either. It's like hard plastic.
