Overview
The Adapt GTO Boots have enjoyed many improvements since their launch in 2016. This 2023 version improves with a meticulously redesigned toebox, upgraded foam in the lining piece, and a lace loop on the lace-bite prevention strip to keep the tongue perfectly placed while skating.
Since 2022, all Adapt models come with a replaceable heel/ankle lining piece. This piece ensures a better fit around the ankles, preventing pressure points from the cuff area. It can be replaced when worn down, extending the lifetime of your skates. The lining piece is fully heat moldable at low temperatures, or it will form to fit naturally with skate time (remove if/when heat molding the shell to prevent foam compression). The tongue has been redesigned with a pressure-dividing patch to prevent lace bite with an embossed logo (red embroidered GTO logo on the back of the skate). Included are removable cut-to-size velcro 45-degree power straps for increased heel lock. The boots are made with a Dutch Nubuck V2 1.3mm leather skin that is supple, yet strong. It will form to your feet out of the box, and continue to feel better and better over time. The new air mesh lining system works with the nubuck and waxed laces to provide an incredibly glove-like fit. 3D SLS bolt protectors are mounted to the top strap to prevent them from damage if falling over.
The GTO shell is a Hyperskate, lightweight, impact-absorbing diolene shell that is finished with layers of 3k carbon for improved response and an impressive look. It features Adapt's proprietary Quattromount frame mounting system, as well as the ability to mount both 165mm and 195mm two-point frames.

Sizing Chart
GENERAL SKATE SIZING GUIDELINES | |
---|---|
Measure both feet with socks similar to those in which you intend to skate. Then use the measurement of the longest point and reference the model-specific size chart to determine size. How to Measure Your Feet for Skates. | |
Proper fit has the toes not being cramped against the front. Toes may slightly brush the front as heels will settle back when in the skating position. Try on skates indoors while in a seated position. Lace and buckle both skates, tap your heels to the floor, and then stand and bend your knees to simulate the skating position.
