Hockey shoulder pads should fit snugly but still allow for ample mobility. To select the right size shoulder pads you want to know your height and chest circumference. If a shoulder pad is too small it will be restricting and have too many gaps in protection. If a shoulder pad is too large you may have too much overlap that can restrict range of motion and the pad can slip out of place.

The information below is to be used as a guideline only and
DOES NOT guarantee fit. The chart is not specific to any item or brand.

Should an item have sizing guidelines provided by the manufacturer, they will be provided for you within the product description next to that item. In other words, if sizing guidelines are seen with the product description online, DO NOT reference the general guideline below.

Measuring Guide
Size & Fit Guide
  • Measure the player's chest below the arm pits.
  • Match the players chest measurement to the soulder pad size.
  • Player height is a secondary guide. Chest size is primary.
  • A player should have good range of motion while wearing shoulder pads. To test range of motion, lift arms above shoulder height - ensure the pads do not dig into the neck.
