The Vaughn Velocity V5 7800 Goalie Chest Protector offers Pro Spec construction for added protection and durability. The Velocity 7800 chest protector is part of Vaughn's top of the line professional level hockey gear and offers several new innovations and enhancements.
The Velocity 7800 chest protectors components have been carefully sized ensuring a proper fit as well as optimized providing the ultimate feel and balance. The superior fit helps keep the protective padding ergonomically positioned, improving on goaltenders flexibility and quick body movements. Large shoulder floaters and sternum plate provide additional chest and shoulder protection as well as excellent blocking surface with the use of high density internals reinforced with poly inserts. Chest protection comes from three independent layers in the construction which provides excellent flexibility and shot dampening properties. The Vaughn 7800 lower belly flap allows improved flexibility when in the crouch position and allows the chest protector to remain aligned to the body providing better net coverage. New side chest pads extend into the upper rib cage and features HD foam padding that extends under the strapping buckles adding to the overall comfort. Anatomically designed arms prevent the padding form shifting and for additional protection molded caps are used on the bicep and forearm. Large high density reinforced arm floaters provide an excellent blocking surface and aid in puck deflection.
Adjustments can be made to this goalie chest protector by using the back padding strapping system, as well as arm width and elbow positioning allowing a custom fit. The shoulder design features adjustable cross over support straps that attach to the rear shoulder blade area. This feature allows goalie to distribute the chest protector weight keeping the unit properly positioned to achieve maximum protection.

Previous Feedback
Comments: A little more bulky than i expected yet I am extremely maneuverable in them. The bulkiness may go down after breaking them in but if not i still like these pads a lot. A lot of padding and protection through out even on the sides. Vaughn's fitting size chart is dead on. I would recommend this protector to anyone.
