Comments: These knee pads are the best I have used. I like that they are longer than usual pads which allows them to protect a few inches of my shin. Since the top strap is adjustable to be tighter as elastic stretches out, these wont slip down! My only complaint is that they only come in S/M and L/XL. I am generally a XS so I just added volleyball pads underneath and they fit perfectly!

Comments: I have only five minutes of experience with these pads, which were recently bought by a friend of mine on my recommendation.  I have had a fair share of experience with quite a few different knee pads:  Rollerblade (various versions, all of which were utter crap), Triple 8, Fox (very bulky ramp pads), and TSG Nosedive (softshell, I have two pairs and have affixed plastic knee caps to one pair).  As soon as I put on these Smith pads I could tell the design was significantly superior to any of the other pads I have worn.  The biggest problem with pads is that when you fall you slide forward, and the pad tends to slide down and off your knee.  This is a tendency even for pads that have a good lower strap.  These Smith pads, however, have almost a built in pre-bend L-shape to them, where if you try to slide them down, off your knee, they dig into the front of your shin as opposed to simply sliding off.  But, the hinge action is very supple, and these pads are very comfortable.  Since they are not a gasket design, they can be readily worn over pants, too.  These are also not wimpy pads and have a goodly amount of padding.  I cannot recommend these pads, enough.  They are truly different from the others.  On another note, the leopard print is the bomb.  If you are a guy, these will totally make you popular with the ladies
