Overview

The Easton Synergy EQ50 hockey gloves offer a modern twist on a traditional 4-roll glove.

Easton has used both nylon and anodized synthetic leather on the exterior of the EQ50 glove. The anodized synthetic leather has been used on the outer portion of the EQ50 glove to increase durability while the nylon offers a lightweight and increases the overall breathability of the glove.

As far as protection the EQ50 features dual density foams for great protection. Easton has also given the thumb a flex feature but it also has a dense plastic insert so protection is not compromised. The EQ50 features an adjustable cuff similar to the S19 glove.  This is a great feature because it really allows for you to customize the cuff as well as differentiate the length of the cuff on your upper and lower hand. Say you want a longer cuff on your lower hand for protection but would like it shorter on your top hand for mobility. With the Easton adjustable cuff they have you covered.

Comments: Got these after my S19's wore out and i like these much better! Great durability and good mobility with the 3 piece fingers!

Comments: I bought these gloves from Ice Warehouse about half a year ago. I used them right out of the box and they felt great for a brand new gloves, they pretty much felt like they were already broken in. To this day the gloves are holding up strong. The feel the glove gives you when you stick handle is great. I have always bought Easton products because I know they will last. The gloves leather palm hardly wears from the grip on your stick. Also my gloves still don't smell like the rest of my hockey equipment yet. The only problem I had with the gloves was when I bought them I ordered the royal color but when the came they said that they where royal it just looked really dark for royal. I am extremely satisfied with this product, next time I have to purchase hockey equipment I'm going with IW.

Comments: Gloves are incredibly comfortable, durable and provide excellent grip of any stick due to the palm construction. Also fairly light and great protection. However, the "Adjustable cuff" is ridiculous. If you adjust it to the shorter length, you stuff the extra material into the glove and restrict your wrist movement. If you leave it extended, the glove is too long and the already small/narrow wrist cuff becomes longer and thus extremely cumbersome and restrictive as well. I bought these hoping there would be enough room for my wrists (on the longer setting) after they broke in but I was sadly mistaken. I bought a pair top of the line Easton synergy gloves in 2004 and used and loved them for at least 6 years so I wanted to stick with Easton, but it looks like I'll be switching brands as soon as I can afford it.

Comments: I've had these gloves for almost a full season now and so far, I love them! But, first let me talk about the negative stuff. The adjustable cuff is a joke. It can adjust to an inch less or more off the glove. If you adjust an inch less, the excess material is shoved into your glove which restricts your wrist movement. It seemed like a good idea, but doesn't quite work out. The seamless index and pinky finger aren't exactly seamless. There is another piece of leather that goes over your entire palm. So you can feel a gap in the two leathers. The gloves bunch less, but they didn't fit that tight around my fingers at first. Now that I have played with them for a while, they feel much better. The best part about this glove is its weight. They are super light and airy. My old CCM Vector 10's were heavy and they held a lot of moisture in them. These Eastons seem to air out faster and even during gameplay they stay dryer than my other gloves. They still get wet from the sweat off my hands, but they don't hold much moisture. The gloves look freaking awesome too. They are super shiny and the construction of them is pretty decent. The leather used in these gloves are very soft. I feel like I have a lot more control with these gloves than other gloves I've used. The gloves fit nicely on my hands. They aren't too tight and they aren't too loose. I guess they did the sizing right, or I just have the perfect Easton glove hand size haha. Overall I would get these exact same gloves over again. If you can't afford them, the eq30's are probably just as good. The difference is the adjustable cuff that doesn't really work, the goat leather, and the shinier fabric. I'm guessing both gloves are pretty awesome.
