Overview

The EQ50 Elite hockey gloves are the premier 4 roll hockey glove from Easton. The EQ50 glove has evolved from the EQ5 glove offering a similar design but with a lighter more comfortable fit, and plastic inserts throughout.  To top it off Easton has done a great job on the graphics of the EQ50 glove keeping it simple but distinctive.

Easton has given the EQ50 glove a flex thumb with a lycra thumb attachment to help further increase thumb flex, while maintaining protection to the thumb. The EQ50 features an adjustable cuff similar to the S19 glove.  This is a great feature because it really allows for you to customize the cuff as well as differentiate the length of the cuff on your upper and lower hand. Say you want a longer cuff on your lower hand for protection but would like it shorter on your top hand for mobility. With the Easton adjustable cuff they have you covered.

Easton has used the same palm design as the EQ5 glove with the seamless index and pinky fingers to offer a great nature feel. The EQ50 glove also features triple segmented index, middle, and ring fingers to offer great finger dexterity.

Comments: These truly are Elite gloves! They are highly protective yet light and comfortable to wear. It took almost no time to break them in and they have held up to weekly use for almost two years without any major wear or breakdown, even in the palm which shows use but no holes or tears. The fit is closer to a traditional 4-roll but not quite as loose and roomy as say a Warrior 4-roll. The glove is made out of nylon material that stands up to wear and tear well and is light and easy to dry. Overall these are great gloves, especially for the price, and can be appreciated at any level of hockey.

Comments: I've had these gloves for a year now and they look like new except for some palm wear on the left glove. These gloves weigh nothing, and protect very well. The fit is a little on the loose side but they don't feel like they could come off during play. I'll be looking for these or something very much like them when my current pair falls apart.

Comments: There has never been a glove before in which you could scratch comfortably the back of your head. Thats the minute you realize you picked a winning glove. When you can give the middle finger to your opponent with your glove on, thats a winning glove. Mobility is the key in this high end glove. The triple segmentation gives so much more options. Letting go of your stick with one hand and back is the easiest thing to do, you normally dont think about it, but when you feel the same movement as if you had no glove, thats a plus. The cost to mobility is the protection in the last segment of the fingers is not super great. You do feel protected, but whenever i've been hit or fell you feel a little under protected. The feel to this great engineering piece is beyond belief. Watching reviews i was afraid, i was terrified that the fit would be like older gloves which had that bulky and un-snuggy feel. But i took a shot on these and, i've never looked back. Best decision ever, that and hair implants. One other thing about this glove is the materials in which its constructed. The palm which is the place that wears off first is made out of two materials and you can feel that it will last. The drawback is that when buying a grip stick, you cant slide your hand comfortably. So.. either dont buy these glove or dont buy a grip stick... i'd choose the latter coz these gloves rule

Comments: I can honestly say I've never had a glove blow my freaking mind before. Then I received a pair of EQ50 Elites. The first thing that you will notice is that these gloves are very light. Then when you place your hand inside the glove you will be treated to the best feeling palm I've ever experienced inside a hockey glove. After thirty seconds I was writing love sonnets to these palms. You will also appreciate the great fit. It's not a typical four roll fit. It does not have a excess of space, just enough to give you great mobility yet hug your hand. After one period the gloves are totally broken in and the fingers become stupid flexible. They also provide great protection and dry quickly. On the downside the "adjustable" cuffs are not really something to write home about. With the flex that these gloves have you don't really need to adjust the cuff anyway. At $109.00 with a 10% I Win discount these gloves are a great deal. Ice Warehouse was kind enough to add a IW sticker wit h my order that I promptly placed on my helmet. IW's customer service is so spectacular I am more than happy to spread the word.
