The Easton E700 Matte Hockey Helmets with Cage are the top of the line helmets in Easton's line up and comes in the stealth Matte Black or a crisp Matte White color for an extra clean look. The E700 is specifically engineered to give players the assurance and protection they'll need to challenge anyone on the rink.
Drawing on the innovations and expertise of the Easton-Bell Sports Helmet Technology Center, the E700 was created to be the best engineered and most advanced helmet to date while offering an incredible level of protection. The E700 is the only helmet on the market utilizing a full coverage EPP foam liner with a polycarbonate plastic shell to provide excellent multi-impact durability. The one-piece shell design allows for more foam to be used and offer less gaps to offer better energy absorption and resist crushing. The result is superior fit helmet that is extremely light weight.
For the fit, Easton utilized the Giro Fit System used in Giro bike and snowboard helmets. This adjustable, elastic fit system in the back of the helmet provides a superior fit that fits close and snug to the head and prevents the helmet from moving around. Inside the helmet are removable and washable comfort pads for a comfortable and snug fit. Secured by velcro, these pads offer a personalize fit.
The E700 cage is a multi-frame carbon steel with a gun-metal chrome finish offering a lightweight feel with great visibility. The sublimated lycra-covered chin cup offers a comfortable feel that helps wick moisture away with the moisture channels.
Special features for the Matte White and Black edition include smoke colored ear covers, flat black hardware and blacked out logos. The only helmet on the market featuring the unique Matte color.

Previous Feedback
Comments: I pretty much tried every helmet that I could find before settling on the E700. It is lightweight as advertised and the removable liner was something different. It took some adjustment before I found my comfort zone and seemed to need to be worked in a little bit before I had to stop adjusting mid game to avoid headaches. Unfortunately, midway through my second month using the helmet the liners began to fray, requiring replacement. This is a simple enough fix (replacement kits can be purchased for $25) and I had already purchased a set so that I could wash the pads periodically and rotate the two sets out on laundry day (a novelty that I hadn't yet had the chance to enjoy). If that wasn't bad enough, now (about 8 months since purchase) the chin cup liner is fraying in the same fashion. I emailed Easton and they have not responded. What a joke. For $180 I expected the liner in the helmet to last a lot longer.

Comments: Its weight is unbelievable, the internal shape is very practical, it helps to be in one piece, GYRO technology was a great success.
