Overview
The CCM QuickLite QLT 250 Hockey Shoulder Pads feature ventilated Dryfoam technology in the front panel, which uses closed-cell construction to reduce moisture buildup and keep the shoulder pads light. To protect key areas, CCM placed anatomically molded PE shields in both the sternum and the spine. This construction forms naturally to the shape of the body for the best fit and protection.
The Quicklite 250 shoulder caps use a low-profile molded PE design for a lightweight fit over the shoulder. Extending underneath the shoulder cap, the bicep guard protects the upper arm with a comfortable foam and a molded PE design.

Comments: The QLT 250 shoulder pads are surprisingly light despite the coverage they provide. I like the feeling of freedom of movement as if I am not as if I am not even wearing shoulder pads so I have generally opted to sacrifice protection for mobility and lightness and have occasionally paid the price with injuries. After the initial break in period of some stiffness these shoulder pads have become quite comfortable. The important areas of coverage that I like are the arch over the clavicles, the thicker yet lightweight coverage over the spine and sternum, and the rubbery foam-like material with air vent hole pattern for the chest wall. I would highly recommend this piece of equipment.
