Overview

The CCM Vector 08 Hockey Helmet is a traditional style pro-approved helmet.  This helmet has many of the same features as the Vector 10 helmet, with the biggest difference being the liner.

The V08 helmet has a mechanically attached dual density pro preferred VN liner, that offers great protection but is known for its comfort. The aerodynamic shell design with maximum ventilation really helps increase airflow and keeps the player cool throughout the game.

The shell is designed for an extended field of vision, giving the Vector 08 and 10 the industry's widest field of vision.  The lift and lock tool-free side adjustment makes adjusting the size a breeze.

Comments: NIce helmet, one problem. It's long in the back without the padding along the lower edge of the plastic like the old CCM helmets have. If it's not a perfect fit, that plastic will bug you when it hits your neck. Which it does.

Comments: Bang for the buck I feel this is the best helmet on the market. The pro liner keeps the helmet in place during the game, it's light weight, offers good protection and is the best looking helmet on the market. I own 3 of them.

Comments: This helmet is the best value when protection, comfort durability and price are taken into account. The helmet has tremendous airflow which I have found to be lacking in Easton helmets. The padding inside the helmet is durable and has enough 'give' to securely fit your head inside without feeling like it's squeezing your head. The helmets do run a bit large (the CCM Vector line is the only helmet that I can comfortably wear the SR. small, although medium fits as well due to some sizing overlap). I can say first hand, that this helmet provides adequate protection for my recreational men's league (checking allowed- as we're all former youth players). I have also reffed in this helmet and taken an errant puck to both the front and the back of the helmet. I suffered no injury and damage to the helmet was minimal. If you're looking for a long lasting helmet for competitive rec- leagues, I would definitely recommend this helmet.

Comments: This helmet feels great, but runs a little large. I wear a 7 3/8 size hat, and the large is a little too big for me, even though I shrank it all the way down. (It's large in the front-back direction, so I glued an extra pad in in the back). I've also got a rather wide head, so I have to stretch it out horizontally, but it's a lot more comfortable than my previous helmet (Bauer 4500). Overall, I'm happy with it and it looks great.

Comments: Probably the most comfortable helmet I've worn. I love this thing. Really light weight and good air flow. The tool-less adjustment is a really nice feature to have as well. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great helmet.

Comments: One of my top two favorite helmets i've worn, this one was a christmas gift last year and i was very surprised how great it was.

The VN liner is amazing, and i was worried about the fit since i was told this one fits closer to the bauer 4500 which seems like you need to have a rectangular head for that helmet.  But this one had no problem with my big head.  It's actually wider than it seems which was great!!!

The helmet has no issues with riding forward or back like other helmets.  I thought this helmet would fit like a painful vice grip like the V10 helmet is but that is not the story thankfully.  I took a slap shot to this helmet and i was ok, no concussion issues the helmet did its job which was fantastic.  My only issue is the helmet with a visor moves down a little, not enough to be alarming just a quarter inch forward so it sits lower on my brow, but i cannot complain.

The look of the helmet is great if you're into aesthetics and looks, plus its very protective. The side clips to expand it are a bit of a pain to click in but once they're done, NOTHING will get them up unless its you.  With my Bauer helmets any impact and they came lose, which was alarming.

CCM did really good with this helmet. Protection, ventilation are both great and for the price, you cannot lose out!
