The Bauer Reactor 6000 Goalie Leg Pads are made in Canada and offer top of the line professional level protection, quality and performance. Originally released in 1994, the Bauer Reactor line of goalie gear provided goaltenders with functional, innovative designs, laying the foundation for current day goalie equipment.
High grade durable synthetic leathers are used throughout the face and high wear areas ensuring professional level quality. Nylon and mesh materials are used on the inner side, able to wick away moisture while reducing the overall weight. The nylon, elastic and leather strapping system ensures goaltenders get a precise customizable fit.
The Reactor 6000 goalie leg pads feature lightweight construction and design maximizing performance. Bauer's Pro Core insert provides the majority of the internal structure, maximizing the goaltenders blocking surface area. The Reactor goalie leg pads are designed with a fairly flat face design with slight raised vertical runs improving the shot dampening. The Reactor 6000 leg pads have squared knee rolls offering superior control over rebounds while increasing protection. The triangular outer roll design reduces overall weight and improves puck deflections by directing pucks away from the goal. The Reactor 6000 leg pads have three breaks in the outer roll maximizing leg pad flexibility and mobility, perfect for active goalkeepers. Additional upper thigh protection comes form the removable NHL legal under-pant thigh protector. The Reactor 6000 Knee cradle is made with high grade synthetic leather and is sewn into place maximizing comfort and knee protection. Bauer's thick reinforced knee stack system keeps the goaltenders knee elevated, reducing overall joint stress and allows for increased leg extension. Improved performance comes from the synthetic leather lined deep leg and boot channels, allowing the leg pads to contour the shin and skates for precise pad movements and control. Bauer's upgraded three-piece calf wrap design provides additional calf protection and comfort for goalies playing up to the professional level.
The Reactor 6000 goalie pads provide maximum agility as well as superior performance. These leg pads are geared toward aggressive goaltenders that prefer challenging the shooter to make saves.
