The Bauer Reflex RX4 Goalie Blocker is designed for the entry level roller or recreational ice goalie who is a hybrid style goaltender. The Bauer RX4 blocker is perfect for the goalie looking for lightweight and affordable protection.
The RX4 blocker uses a synthetic leather material throughout almost the entire blocker with stitching and screen printed graphics to provide the Reflex design. The curved profile of the blocker board along with the loose fitting cuff allows for great wrist mobility with this blocker. The blocker board also tapers down near the bottom of the blocker to allow for an improved paddle down position. The RX4 blocker uses a large molded poly and foam panel on the inner side to provide full coverage of the hand. Bauer uses their contoured-flex split finger protector design to fully protect the fingers without restricting movement.
Bauer has used a reinforced Nash leather in the palm of this blocker with dual layers in the key points for additional durability. The RX4 blocker uses a simple nylon mesh in the fingers to allow great airflow to the fingers. On the inside of the blocker Bauer has included a pad that is lined with Nash leather. That pad helps to keep the blocker from rotating on the hand as well as provides some impact resistance from shots.
