Overview
The Bauer RE-AKT 100 Youth Hockey Helmet with Cage provides ultimate protection and unparalleled ease-of-use for young hockey players. The RE-AKT 100 features the innovative Supsend-Tech Poron XRD Liner, which helps to prevent rotational impact injuries. The RE-AKT 100's strapping system was designed specifically for the youth players. The chin strap utilizes a bicycle helmet buckle design that's a snap to use, while the quick-release facemask straps simply slide on for a completely-secured fit.
The Supsend-Tech System moves independently of the triple-density base layer. This helps to reduce rotational impact force inflicted during an oblique hit, which is an angular hit that causes the head to spin. By slowing and reducing the rotational force, the RE-AKT 100 protects the brain better than traditional liners.
For an optimal fit, Bauer gave the RE-AKT 100 a spring-loaded occipital lock at the rear of the helmet. This helps to secure and stabilize the helmet for superior comfort and protection. The RE-AKT Youth Cage features adjustable clips, which allow the cage to be repositioned up and down as well as in and out on the face significantly more than traditional helmets. Combined with the two-piece shell and its tool-free adjustment feature, this helmet and its cage can be continually adjusted to properly fit a growing player

Previous Feedback
Comments: My son and daughter both have the RE-AKT 100 that they've been wearing now for two seasons of play. They both play Rep and so far we've had no issues with the quality of this helmet. All I can say is at they're level of play, the helmet seems to perform well. My daughter plays defense and it gets rough a lot. In many games she gets hit hard and falls on the occasion but gets up as fast as she was knocked down. When asked how she feels she says she feels great. To date there hasn't been a head injury from wearing this helmet. My son plays center and gets a high stick or punch from behind by a goalie and besides some scratches the liner is intact and working like it was designed too. Before switching to these helmets they wore the traditional style and they did have on occasion headaches that might have been a result of impacts to the head or body. I'm not in sales or do I work for Bauer I'm just a parent giving an honest review of a product that we have had a good experience with.

Comments: My son was given this helmet for his b-day 6 months ago and the liner has already separated from the helmet. I'm not sure if it has a warranty or not but either way for the price of a youth helmet I am not impressed.
