Cut Protection Level

This is the general level of protection against cuts.
- Minimum: Basic protection suitable for competitive play
- Standard: Balanced protection for intense gameplay. Protects against more severe cuts.
- Maximum: Highest level of cut resistance for elite gameplay. Ideal for competitive adult hockey and designed for the biggest and fastest players.

The Bauer Vapor X40 goalie leg pads are excellent mid range leg pads. Offering good mobility and protection ideal for intermediate level of play.
Bauer has used synthetic leather on the face of the X40 leg pad. The inside features nylon for a lightweight and good durability. Bauer has designed the X40 leg pad with 4 flex points in the face and 3 flex points on the outer roll for a great flex. The X40 leg features a square vertical roll for great performance and keeps those rebounds down. Bauer has used a hybrid design capturing benefits from a flat face design and traditional roll design.
Bauer has give the X40 plenty of straps, using a combination of nylon, elastic, leather, buckle, and elastic materials. The X40 features two straps on the thigh, two straps on the knee, three straps on the shin, and one boot strap. The X40 also offers a preformed leg for a great fit.
