Comments:If you have any irregularities on your feet, particularly your heels, such as Haglunds Deformity, then this is not the skate for you. The carbon fiber shell is completely rigid and is not capable of being altered or customized in any way. I do 20 miles a day, five days a week, so blistering has been a constant problem. Otherwise, If you don't have any issues with you feet, then this skate is fast and smooth and I'd recommend it. Additionally, Inline Warehouse has been excellent.

Comments:Just got these - went for my first skate this morning. Love the responsive feeling they give me. Feel like I get back every ounce of energy I put into each stride (these were an upgrade from a pair of very zippy Salomon recreational skates, and while I love my rec skates, they just don't give me the return of energy that these do). Comfort was a bit problematic. When I first put them on I was optimistic - I have very high arches which make it hard for me to find boots I can actually get on, but these slipped on easily and felt good. I didn't like the lacing system as well as the one on my rec skates, which have closed hooks through which a smooth lace passes, with teeth on the uppermost hook to hold tension on the laces while they're tied. I always get a snug fit with equal tension throughout the entire foot on my rec skates, whereas with the heavy flat lace and grommets on this skate I couldn't get the same feeling of the boot hugging my foot. Sure enough I ended up with a sore on the outside of my right foot, at the base of the toe. The thick padding on the tongue was a problem, too. I have bony ankles, and I kept stopping to adjust it, trying to find a comfortable place where it wouldn't rub against either the inside or the outside of my ankle bone. I finally gave up trying and just went with it, but felt a blister pop when I got 12 miles into my skate. I'll be skating with a neoprene ankle support from now on, to provide extra padding, although I never needed as much as a bandaid with my rec skates, they were so comfortable. Comfort issues aside, I love this skate. It's fast and responsive. I regularly skate 18 miles at a time, usually a minimum of 4 times a week, and moving up to this from my rec skates gives me the extra speed I was craving.
