| USD Feinberg UFS Classic Throne

To start off this review you need to know this is a pro skate from one of the most well known, and in my opinion one of the best, skaters out there. Aaron Fienberg is still to this day in the top 10 of the best rollerbladers. He has been in the scene for years. Many have come and gone but he is still tearing it up on anything. This has nothing to do with the skate except his name is on it and he skates them.
Classic thrones have been around for a long time. Ever since USD came out classic thrones have been liked by many. On the other hand many have hated them for their lack of soul space and different backslide. They have changed all that with new souls that have been redesigned to better suit your and my needs. My favorite thing they changed is the liner. This liner is far better then any liner I have tried in my years of skating.
As far as the look white is very stylish. The boot is completely white with blue on the liner and on the frame to add some color. I have been waiting for an all white classic throne for quite some time and was so excited to see it happen. Besides the color I think the whole look is very appealing. It is important to look good while you skate. |
The Boot:
The boot is the same classic style we love. It's white, which is sick. You don't see very many white skates but the few you see look very good. The classic throne boot will probably last forever. I have owned classic thrones for years with just changing soul plates and the boot stayed in the same shape with little wear for the life of the skate.

The
Liner:
I can't really say much about the liner except AMAZING! This liner definitely exceeds all previous liners from USD. They added extra soft padding all around, mostly in the ankle to prevent movement of the heel in and out of the liner and to add support. Still the liners are not too bulky. Just the right size. My favorite thing USD also added is an elastic lacing system so you can tighten the liner to your foot which helps mold it to your foot. Having your feet control the skate is very crucial for accuracy on where your skate needs to go.

The
Cuff:
The cuff on classic thrones and UFS thrones is the same as they have always been. Why not, just the right height, just the right flex, and just the fit around the ankle. I would never change the cuff. They have it just right. White!

Soul/Backslide Plate:
USD classic throne soul plates have been loved by many and also hated by many. Personally I have liked them having little to no problems, yet I've heard complaints that the souls do not match up right that causes a weird feel for grinding and that they are don't have enough space for souls. Another complaint that I've heard and I feel the same way is the backslide does not match up with the frame. Well USD changed all that making the souls more than enough room to grind whatever with ease. Plus making the backslide perfect in line with the groove in the frame. The thing they did to make these soul plates better that I dig the most is they have added more negative space! So negative away. The new souls are super fast so no sticking just smoothness. I very much like these finding they make it a lot easier to lock on to grinds.

Frames:
Don't even let me get started on the frames. I expected them to be a disappointment as I did with other suspension frames, but quickly changed my mind after the first day of skating. How would you like to feel as if you were gliding across the concrete? How would you like to land gaps with help to make it easier on your legs? Well these are the frames that will do that. Smooth as if you were floating over ground. Cracks are no problem. They just go over them as if the cracks were not there. Trust me it is a feel that makes skating a lot more fun. Even though the ride was amazing I was still worried that it would give when I jumped taking away from the height of my jump, but that did not happen. The frames feel solid, no give at all. Now I can jump as high as I regularly could so what about grinding? I have rode on a lot of frames before and nothing has ever slide so smooth on a ledge than this frame. The arms are the only thing touching on souls so less friction, which causes a slick fluid, grind. On the middle body of the frame is a plastic that I have not seen on a frame before. Very light weight and strong. Plus not to mention the best groove I have ever seen and felt in my life. Locking on is no problemo. Absolutely no catch and sticking. All around these are the frames I have been waiting for.

Wheels and Bearings:
The wheels are Mindgame Aaron Fienberg 55/88 and they should be. The wheels are perfect for all types of skating and fit the frame just right. The bearings are abec 5 so you will have more than enough speed

Outro:
I have been riding USD on and off for a long time so I know what I like and I don't like about them. With all of the changes they have made on the classic thrones it is hard to not like anything about this skate. I have never taken a skate right out of the box and not made one change to it before skating. With this skate there is no reason to. Ever single part on it is amazing, from the liner to the frame blows me away. I recommend these to all types of rollerbladers (creative, stunt, park, etc.). I am a all around skater that is very pleased with this skate and believe everyone that tries it will be also. Enjoy.
