Easton has used essentially the same design as the S5 glove however, they have used different exterior materials. The S3 uses a nylon exterior which is lighter, more durable and more breathable than synthetic leathers. Easton has used pretty much the same padding throughout the glove which is a mid-density foam that provides protection and comfort. The palm on the S3 glove is traditional Nash leather with Nash leather overlays.

There are some different design features on this glove compared to others on the market. The first feature is the Ergo thumb, this positions the thumb in a natural position making a nice fit. This does provide a comfortable fit but it is not drastically different from many other gloves thumb positions on the market. The Flex Cuff is a good concept, however the actual flex portion is fairly small making the impact on the glove minor. This does not take anything away from the glove rather just does not make a huge difference.

The overall contoured design takes away some of the negative space in the back hand. Resulting in a fairly form fitting design. The cuff opens up and provides a looser fit in the upper wrist allowing for optimal wrist mobility.
