The Easton ST6 hockey elbow pads have a similar design to the ST6 elbow pads, however Easton has given these pads additional protection.
Easton has used a 2-piece design to separate the elbow/forearm portion from the bicep/tricep protector. The elbow forearm is constructed from one piece of molded plastic providing protection without any segment breaks in protection. This molded plastic is at the core of the pad with layers of foam on both sides. Easton has also giving this pad an EVA elbow cover to provide additional protection.
The Bicep protector is reinforced with a thin layer of plastic at the core between layers of foam. Easton could have used a thicker plastic core on this portion of the pad, but that would have increased the weight and flexibility of this portion of the pad.
Similar to the other Easton elbow pads the ST6 uses a 3-piece standard elastic system to secure the pad during play. Easton has done a good job at separating the straps on the pad so they do not bind together when the player moves their arm. The soft U-shape foam in the liner helps to lock the pad into position during play.
