The Bauer Vapor X7.0 Hockey Shin Guards offer great protection and a comfortable fit with a tapered design for a slender feel.  The X7.0's are ideal for the advanced level player.

Bauer designed the X7.0 with a slim tapered fit and a Free Flex lower cap to add protection with a comfortable feel. The outer shells have a nice ribbed design that increases the overall strength of the pad. Bauer has also used their vent armor material in the calf wrap for good protection while maintaining a lightweight feel.

The X7.0 features the Thermo Max+ liner that offers a great feel and moisture wick properties. This fully removable liner helps decrease drying time and adds a custom feel.  Bauer again used a high quality anchor strap that webs across the top of the calf for a secure fit.  At the bottom there is a 1" strap which holds the bottom of the shin guard in place.

Comments: I dont feel a thing when i block shots and its really light and easy to move in
From: Alex, PA

Comments: In my original vapor x40 shin guards I felt great with the feel and protection....until i jumped in front of a slapshot point blank and it went right through the shin guard. Nothing against x40s!! Still a great shin guard for the value, however after taking that extremely hard slapshot I wanted something that would prevent bone bruises like the one I ended up having. Sticking to the vapor line for the tapered feel and reliable quality, i moved up to the x7.0. At first they felt big for the vapor line, despite the acclaimed tapered feel of the lineup. However it only took one week to break them in and before i knew it- I felt great with them. They are a snug fit and are kind of bigger at the kneecap but you don't notice it at all!! These shin guards offer amazing protection and I rarely feel anything when it comes to slashing, tripping, and blocking shots. Nothing is invincible but these feel pretty close. The only problem i have experienced with them is the feel at the bottom of the guard- they feel loose and big at the bottom but its mainly because of how much bigger the bottom is compared to my older x40s. The fact that i have the tongue in could also be another reason for this feeling. In the end i would have to say if you are thinking about these- go for it. the tapered fit and feel of the high quality insole makes these extremely comfortable and easy to skate in once broken in!!
