Comments: I played roller hockey for several years and the Bauer X40s were the perfect transition into ice. They are light weight and have great ankel support. They also hold up very well to wear and tare. The break in was very fast. It only took a couple of games for them to be perfectly molded to my foot and stop hurting. And that was after baking. Overall I would recommend these skates for the beginner to intermediate ice player.
