The Bauer Vapor APX Ice Hockey Skates are a culmination of material and technological advancements resulting in the lightest Vapor Skate ever. Bauer has combined the ALIVE composite material found in the TotalOne skate with the Vapor fit and new Vapor X-rib construction to create the ultimate advanced performance driven skate from Bauer yet.
The Bauer ALIVE composite upper in the Bauer Vapor skate is built to provide players with the distinct "Vapor" attributes, while significantly reducing the weight. The NEW X-rib design provides structural support and stability throughout the boot, allowing for faster acceleration and quicker turns. The angle of the boot is cut aggressive to allow great forward flex.
The Form-Fit 3 tongue is designed and engineered to provide the same fit and feel as as the previous Form-fit 2 while enhancing lace bite protection. By exposing the metatarsal guard, it enables the laces of the skate to slide up and down the tongue vs. compressing the internal foam, thus enhancing comfort and reducing break-down.
Bauer has also introduced the new Hydra-Max 2 liner which is one part moisture wicking, one part abrasion-resistant with integrated comfort wrap. Together it adds up to a superior liner that keeps the feet dry and cool while locking the heel in tight. The durable CLARINO® top layer minimizes wear and tear around the top of the ankle. Featuring a NEW integrated comfort wrap designed to alleviate abrasion high on the ankle during the break-in process and added comfort throughout the life of the skate.
Even the footbed has been upgraded on the Bauer Vapor APX skate! Bauer has introduced the Form-Fit+ footbed with ERGOTOE protection. The ERGOTOE is customizable and offers increased forefoot and toe comfort. To help decrease the overall weight without sacraficing and performance the Bauer Vapor APX ice skate features the Tuuk LS fusion runner that combines steel with aluminum reducing the weight by 27%

Comments: I really enjoyed having these skates. They take longer than a usual skate does to break into, but once you break into them they have zero problems with them. They are just skates that you will love inside and out. The look is great, protection is great and so is the comfortability. I would highly recommend buying these skates off this site. Amazing!

Comments: Making the move from Reeboks back to Bauer was well worth it because of the APX skate. I have a wider foot, and as a result went for the EE width skate. I have had no issues with pain of discomfort, so be sure to try the wider last if you are worried about the tighter Vapor fit. Performance has been phenominal. The stiffness and the pop from the skates, combined with the feather weight makes them a joy to skate in from the first shift to the last. Durability has been excellent, and is certainly good to see from this price point. Don't be afraid that the skates will break down because of the lightweight nature. I've had these for almost a year now, and the only damage is purely cosmetic (puck marks).

Comments: These are by far the best skates I have ever owned. Incredibly light, baked them once and they felt great. I used to skate on Bauer one 100's size 8.5 width D, and went up to 9.0 width D and they fit great. Boot is very protective, I have taken a few shots of the side of the foot and didn't feel anything. My only comment is that the paint on the boot has a tendency to smudge and smear but that is strictly a cosmetic issue and does not affect the performance of the skate. Also the tongue does not have the usual felt that traditional skates do.

You don't even need to bake the skate but I did and the skate fit like a glove..They're so strong and well built that they don't break down.I play four times a week and these things are built like tanks. I can't tell you how many shots I've take off these skates and you don't feel a thing? Between how light they are and how durable they are, it's the perfect combo. They just flat out made me a better skater!! The money couldn't be more well spent...

Comments: My APX skates are the best skates I have ever owned hands down. Was originally with Easton (S17) and loved them because of the fit (as I have wide feet) and performance and didn't think skates could get much better. I was a sceptic at first but thought I'd try them out. Was the best thing I ever did. Once I baked and had the blades profiled with every stride all the energy gets transferred to the blade. They made my skating so effortless and efficient. They are so light you don't even notice them on. I would highly recommend them to anyone that doesn't mind forking out the extra $$$ as you definitely get what you pay for. You won't be disappointed.

Comments: I switched from Total100's, size 11.5 Reg. Width, to APX 10.5 EE Wide's. These fit soo much better and there was really NO break-in time. They are comfortable like running shoes. I am not happy with the amount of support throughout the boot, however. These are touted as 'extremely stiff' Vapor skates, which I guess they are, in comparison to the earlier models of Vapors(I used to skate on Vapor XXXX's before the Total100's). I've had these for 1.5 months now, and my worst fears have been realized- i spent $800 on skates that I feel have taken my skating abilities a step in the WRONG direction. I am just not as strong a skater as I was with the Total100's. This is just my personal experience. I'm 6'3", 225.
