The Bauer Supreme ONE.4 Shin Guard is the entry level model from the Supreme line. The ONE.4 has thick layers of dense foam that work with the ribbed shell to provide great protection for the knee and thigh. The removable hydrophobic mesh liner is a great feature for drying out after use and for washing when necessary.

Comments: I bought all Bauer Supreme One.4 pads. (Shoulder, Elbow, Shin. I think that's all of them.) These are great pads for the money. You'll want to go with a higher level if you are playing contact but for the college class and adult league I play in they are perfect. Also like the removable liner in the entry model.

Comments: These shin guards are pretty good. I haven't played hockey in 15 years and just started up again. I'm 31 now and haven't played since about 16 years old. Naturally, everything is different from what I remember it. Skating is important, at least to me, and I wanted to buy shin guards, as well as other gear, that would not interfere with my skating. These shin guards are fairly anatomically correct; however, at my LHS, the Bauer one.6 (with the green inserts) had a much more ergonomic feeling to them. That being said I chose these less expensive shin guards. So far I have been quite pleased. The straps work fairly well, at least so far. I only have 3 game uses in them but so far the straps tend to stay put. Overall, I would recommend these if you are on an extreme budget; however, I would say that the one.6 is a noticeable step up for not that much more.
