The Bauer Nexus 400 Hockey Shin Guard is the most affordable shin guard in the Nexus line. The Nexus 400 offers great protection for recreational to intermediate level play.
The Nexus 400 features an anatomical ribbed polyurethane knee cap and shin shell design that helps disperse impacts throughout the shin guard. The mid density calf wrap helps protect against slashes and blocked shots on the back of the leg.
The Hydrophobic mesh liner offers great comfort for the price point. Unlike most bottom end shin guards, the Nexus 400 features a removable and adjustable knee pad that really adds comfort and protection in the shin guard. The asymmetrical design gives the shin guard a really nice fit on the leg, and the two 1" straps help keep the shin guard in place.

Comments: Great shin guard for the price -for any price, really. The wrap around calf coverage is much appreciated as well. Removable/washable inner cap pad is an added bonus. Can't miss with this one. I'd recommend them to anybody who's looking for some great bang for their buck.
