The Bauer Nexus 1000 hockey shoulder pads are the premier shoulder pads in the Nexus line offering an advanced to pro level of protection. The combination of dense foams and Bauer's Free Flex system makes the Nexus 1000 shoulder pads extremely mobile with a solid feel great for those grinders.
The Nexus 1000 shoulder pads feature lightweight EPP foam in the side panels and the sternum guard, providing you with superior impact dispersion. A poly insert reinforces the sternum guard to maximize the protection in the tender area of the chest. The spinal plate features HD foams for good protection on the spine. Dual density arch supports protect the collar bone area against any high-sticks or direct impacts. Molded anatomical shoulder caps provide protection from contact at every angle. Molded poly bicep guards are segmented to keep the protection in place on your arm. The extended core protection protects the stomach but can be removed if not wanted.
The Nexus 1000 shoulder pads have a 3-piece front panel design with several segments, allowing the pad to move without binding up, maximizing your mobility. Bauer has integrated the FreeFlex design into the biceps. The segment really allows you to move your arms with out being restricted or having them bind up increasing your range of motion.
Bauer has provided the Nexus 1000 shoulder pads with the Thermo Max liner. This liner will help wick away some of the moisture, help regulate your body temperature and prevent the build up of odors. The liner along with the extended comfort neck collar provide a very comfortable fit.

Comments: Let me just say these shoulder pads are so nice. There lightweight, very comfortable and really mobile. These are my first ever purchase of shoulder pads and i couldnt be more happier with them. There so high in protection but yet so basic and kinda old school meaning you dont have alot of stuff to fidget with that you normally have on a high end pad like the total one. I would def reccomend these for someone who just wants to suite up and hit the ice knowing i have a great protective pad which isnt so bulky
