The Alpha Bont Skates are Bont's first ever rec skate. The boot is a carbon composite boot that is fully head moldable and incorporates their Super Mold Technology which makes it the most head moldable rec skate on the market. The foot bed and tongue are also moldable. The frame is an extruded 6000 Series Aluminum S-Frame with 1 Piece axles that are machine, not punched. The aluminum spacers are also machined. Frame graphics use a heat print that has a UV scratch proof coating. The wheels are Hyper XTR 90mm and the bearings are Bont ABEC5's.

Q: How do I find my Bont size? Please note that fitting a speed skate is not like fitting a running shoe. Speed skates need to be stiff to give you support and the sides of the skates are made with carbon fiber. When you put your foot into a tight skate, the foot grows in length. Different people’s feet will become longer than others depending on the composition of fat and muscles in your foot. As such, two people with the same length feet may need different size boots. Bont's size chart is based on feedback from skaters that have told them the maximum length foot that will fit in each size boot.
Q: Why are my sneakers 2 sizes bigger than my Bont Skates? A: When Mr. Inze Bont first developed his last in 1975 he was a size 8. Over the years as sneeker manufacturers moved to Asia, last sizes have shrunk. Mr. Bont is now a size 10... So the simple answer is that Bont's last sizes haven't changed for over 30 years where as your running shoe manufacturers lasts have changed.
